Christmas Care Packages for Jamaican Youth 

Please help us provide essential items to over 50 homeless Jamaican youth, some of whom are as young as 13 years old.

From October 6-12, visit a local  J.Jill store and donate your gently worn clothing (clean and on hangers please) to support Positive Images Enterprises and women in need. As a thank you, you’ll receive a 25% discount on anything you purchase.

Please come by and visit us in The Shops at Pembroke Garden. We are proud to partner with Positive Images Enterprises, Inc. in our mission to provide support to community-based organizations that help disadvantaged women regain their self-sufficiency through independence.

On May 23-25, 2014, our organization, along with other agencies, are participating in  Veterans Stand Down.  A military atmosphere will be set, including tents and cots for homeless veterans who will live and sleep on the property through the weekend. Veterans and their children, who are living on the streets or do not have permanent housing, will get free access to:

  • Two nights of sleeping accommodations
  • Three days of hot meals
  • Showers and clean clothes
  • Haircuts for men and hair styling for women
  • Dental, medical and mental health examinations
  • PTSD counseling
  • Day and evening entertainment
  • Animal sheltering, free pet vaccines, free IDs and microchips
  • Employment applications, counseling and resume writing
  • Legal counseling and/or Veterans Court
  • State Photo Identification cards
  • Social Security Benefits (Food Stamps, SSI & Disability) processing
  • Women and Children Services
  • Art Therapy
  • Voter Registration and others

We are collecting welcome packets for the Veterans and their children. This will include baby wipes, toothpaste, bath and wash towels, sanitary napkins, tampons, body wash/ soap, razors, shaving cream/gel, combs, brush, hair supplies, mouthwash, bath tissue, hand sanitizer, diapers, baby wipes and training pants for toddles, and casual new clothes for men, women and children.  Whatever you can donate to a make this project a success is appreciated!
